IGNOU BLIS Admission 2025-26

IGNOU BLIS admission 2025 will be taken under two intakes: Januart and July Session. 2025 July session admissions will commence from 10 July 2025, and admission forms will remain until 31 August 2025.  To start the admission process, you must first register on the official university website at ignou.ac.in. The IGNOU registration fee is INR 300 per student and admission for the July 2025 session will be conducted based on merit, without the requirement of an entrance examination.

It is important to note that IGNOU offers direct admission to the BLIS, which entails several steps, including registration, verification of eligibility, and document verification, all of which must be completed. This UGC and DEB-approved program encompasses topics like library information management and retrieval, cataloging, classification, and archiving through English medium under a fee of ₹8500 for 1 year. To be eligible for the IGNOU BLIS program, you must have a bachelor’s degree in any specialization with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC). 

IGNOU BLIS Admission 2025 Last date

Indira Gandhi National Open University Admission for the July 2025 session will begin from 10 July 2025 onwards for all undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate, and diploma programs, including the 1 year B.Lis program. To be eligible to get into the IGNOU BLis program, Students must have a bachelor’s degree (with 50%) or a diploma certificate in Library Sciences.

IGNOU BLIS Assignment

IGNOU BLIS’s assignments must be handwritten entirely on A4-sized foolscap paper, with one side ruled and the other left blank. The writing should be done in blue or black ink, presented neatly, and compiled in a paper file. To check the status of your IGNOU assignments, you may visit isms.ignou.ac. Using your enrollment number and course code. The assignment marks and the status is released 30-45 days after the submission of the assignments or along with the final TEE grade card. 

IGNOU BLIS Study material

IGNOU BLIS study material can be obtained either directly reaching the IGNOU regional center or through the postal service at your home. For many of you, the second option would be convenient, but it might take longer than the first option of directly visiting the regional center.

You can also access the study materials via the official IGNOU website, ignou.ac.in. To download the IGNOU study materials, learners must first create an account at egyankosh.ac.in/registration. Furthermore, the printed materials and books from IGNOU are dispatched to the learner’s registered address using a speed post. IGNOU does not charge extra for the study material, as everything is included in the course fee. The IGNOU BLIS program comprises 9 courses/subjects that help you gain 36 credit points a year, including 30% marks directly from assignments.
